Braves Injury Report Update

A healthy Acuña Jr. and Strider are pivotal to the Braves’ success in 2025. As of today here is an update on their rehab from their respective injuries.
Acuña Jr. tore his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on May 26, 2024, marking his second ACL injury after a previous tear in his right knee in 2021. As reported today by Mark Feinsand of mlb.com Acuña hasn’t been cleared yet to plan in games but once he is, should be shortly it will open up a 20-day rehab window. It’s expected his return to the bigs to be in Mid-May. While it may take some time to get back to his old self, he did hit over 40 HR’s and had over 70 SB in a health 2023.
Spenser Strider had elbow issues in 2024, though luckily avoided Tommy John surgery. He is currently on the mend and slated to come back sometime in April. Considered a potential ‘Ace’ his return will be very important with a critical eye to whether or not his 2024 injury has any lasting effects.
